    To ensure HandyCPD remains fast, reliable, and affordable for all professionals, we enforce this Acceptable Use Policy. Use of the Service constitutes agreement to these limits.

    1. Fair Use & Resource Limits

    HandyCPD is designed for professional reflective logging, not general file storage.

    • Storage Caps: Free accounts include 1 GB of Library storage; Pro accounts include 20 GB. Existing files remain accessible if you are over your cap; new uploads are blocked until you free space or upgrade.
    • File Uploads: Individual files are capped at 50MB. We encourage users to compress images and PDFs before uploading.
    • AI Processing: AI-assisted features are subject to fair-use limits to keep HandyCPD reliable, secure and affordable for all users. These limits may include monthly, daily, per-feature, file-processing, image-processing and anti-abuse limits. Limits may be adjusted as HandyCPD monitors normal usage patterns, protects service reliability and manages fair use. Current baseline limits include up to 150 AI-assisted requests per month on the Free plan, with additional daily and feature-specific safeguards. Paid plans may have higher fair-use limits than Free.

    2. Prohibited Content

    You may not use HandyCPD to store, share, or process:

    • Non-CPD Data: Personal photo backups, movies, or files unrelated to professional development.
    • Sensitive Data: Identifiable patient/client records or "Special Category" data under GDPR.
    • Illegal Material: Any content that is defamatory, pornographic, or infringes on intellectual property.

    3. System Integrity & Throttling

    • No Automation: Use of "bots," scrapers, or automated scripts to generate logs is strictly prohibited.
    • Throttling: We reserve the right to temporarily slow down or "throttle" accounts that exceed typical human usage patterns (e.g., uploading 100+ documents in a single hour) to protect server stability.
    • AI abuse controls: We may throttle, pause or restrict AI-assisted features in response to excessive AI requests, repeated automated AI calls, attempts to bypass usage limits, or behaviour that risks service reliability, security or billing stability.
    • Emergency AI pausing: We may temporarily pause AI features for safety, reliability, security, billing-control or abuse-prevention reasons.
    • External Links: For large media (videos over 5 minutes or high-res webinars), users should use the "Link" feature (e.g., YouTube/Vimeo) rather than direct uploads.

    4. Enforcement & Data Recovery

    If you violate this policy:

    • First Warning: We may cap your uploads until the next billing cycle.
    • Termination: Serious violations (illegal content/automation) result in an immediate ban.
    • Quarantine: As per our T&C, banned users have 30 days to download their legal data before it is permanently purged.
